Prime accused in Khulna’s Imran murder case arrested

KHULNA, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 has arrested prime accused in the sensational murder of Imran Munshi, 30, which took place in the Custom Ghat area under Khulna Sadar Police Station.

A team of RAB-6’s CPC Special Company, acting on secret information, conducted a special operation in the Labanchara Police Station area of Khulna city on Monday and arrested Md Farid Sheikh, 35, son of late Mannan Sheikh, a resident of No. 1 Custom Ghat under Khulna Sadar Police Station.

According to RAB, following a business dispute on October 6, 2025, the accused, including Farid Sheikh, allegedly shot the victim and inflicted serious injuries with sharp weapons at Custom Ghat, leaving him dead before fleeing the scene.

In this connection, the victim’s aunt, Dalia Begum, filed a murder case with Khulna Sadar Police Station.

The arrested accused has been handed over to Khulna Sadar Police Station for further legal proceedings, the RAB press release added.
