BGB seizes firearms in Kushtia border area

KUSHTIA, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS)- Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has recovered firearms and ammunition from Charchilmari border area under Doulatpur upazila of the district.

On a tip-off, a team of the BGB conducted a raid in the area and recovered two foreign-made pistols, four magazines and eight rounds of bullets in an abundant condition.

The operation was conducted as part of strengthening security in the border areas ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Elections.
