Doa-mahfil held in Rangamati seeking Khaleda Zia's eternal peace

RANGAMATI, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS)- A doa and milad-mahfil was held in Rangamati 
today seeking eternal peace for the departed soul of first female prime 
minister of the country Begum Khaleda Zia.

Matsya Baboshayi (fish traders) community and Rangamati District Matsya 
Baboshayi Samabaya Samity Ltd. jointly organised the event at the Rangamati 
District Fisheries Office premises at 11 am.

BNP-nominated candidate for Rangamati-299 constituency and joint religious 
affairs secretary of the BNP National Executive Committee Dipen Dewan 
attended the event as the chief guest with President of Rangamati District 
Matsya Baboshayi Samabaya Samity Ltd. Mohammad Abdus Shukur in the chair.

Rangamati District BNP joint president and district lawyers Forum president 
Advocate Saiful Islam, district BNP organising secretary Saiful Islam Shakil, 
district BNP joint president Nizam Uddin, district Jubo Dal president Nurun 
Nabi, its general secretary Abu Sadeq Mohammad Sayem, district BNP fisheries 
affairs secretary and district Matsyajibi Dal convener Nurul Kabir Bacha, and 
general secretary of the District Matsya Baboshayi Samabaya Samity Md Mahfuz 
Alam were present at the event, among others.
