RAJSHAHI, Jan 13, 2026 (BSS)- Police recovered a foreign-made pistol and
ammunition from the Silinda Bottala area under Shah Makhdum Police Station in
the city last night.

On a tip-off, a detective team from Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP)
conducted a sudden raid in the area around 1.30am and recovered an USA-made
pistol, two rounds of bullets and a magazine.

RMP Deputy Commissioner (Media) Gaziur Rahman told BSS that there was
information of a 3-4 snatcher gang armed with firearms but sensing the police
appearance they fled away leaving behind the firearm and ammunition.

"We are continuing the drive to bring the escaped snatchers to book as early
as possible," he added.
