Electoral symbols allocated among six candidates in Chuadanga

CHUADANGA, Jan 21, 2026 (BSS) - Symbols have been allocated among six candidates in Chuadanga-1 and 2 constituencies centering the upcoming the 13th Jatiya Sangsad polls.

Earlier, the symbol allocation meeting was held at 11 am today at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, chaired by DC Mohammad Kamal Hossain.

The candidates who have got symbols in Chuadanga-1 constituency are BNP nominated candidate and District BNP General Secretary Sharifuzzaman Sharif 'Paddy Sheaf (Dhaner Sheesh)', 10-Party Alliance and Jamaat-nominated candidate Advocate  Masud Parvez Russell 'scales (Daripalla)' and Islamic Andolan Bangladesh (IAB) nominated candidate Maulana Zahurul Islam Aziji '(Hand Fan) Hatpakha'.

Besides, the candidates allotted symbols for Chuadanga-2 constituency are BNP candidate and District BNP President Mahmud Hasan Khan Babu 'Paddy Sheaf’, Jamaat-e-Islami nominated candidate district Ameer Md Ruhul Amin 'Scales’ and IAB-nominated candidate Hasanuzzaman Sajeeb 'hand fan (Hatapakha)'.

During the symbols allocation ceremony, the DC said everyone should play a responsible role to conduct the election a free, fair and impartial manner. 

“No kind of chaos can be created . . . As per the instructions of Election Commission (EC), putting posters or stickers on the walls is prohibited and the code of conduct must be strictly followed,” he mentioned.

Legal action will be taken against the concerned candidate if they violate the code of conduct or engage in any activity outside the instructions of the EC, the DC added.

Meanwhile, District Election Officer Ahmed Ali said five out of a total of 11 candidates have withdrawn their nomination papers and currently, six candidates are in the election field. 

The local administration being instructed by the EC is relentlessly working to make the upcoming JS polls in a free, fair and impartial manner.
