Hotel, restaurant employees get hygiene products in Rangpur

RANGPUR, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS) - Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RpCCI) has distributed hygiene products among hotel and restaurant employees with the aim of serving healthy Iftar items to consumers during the holy month of Ramadan.
 
On Thursday afternoon, Rangpur Chamber of Commerce and Industry Vice-president Md Enamul Haque Sohel inaugurated the programme by cutting a ribbon at Mezban Hotel and Restaurant premises in the Dhap area of the city. 
 
Chamber Vice-president Zulfiquer Aziz Khan Bhuttu, Director Kamal Hossain, Partho Bose, Mamunur Rashid and others were present at the time. 
 
In this programme, kitchen aprons, chupi, hand gloves and masks were distributed among the employees engaged in preparing and serving Iftar in seven upazilas of Rangpur district and 180 hotels and restaurants in the city. 
 
Enamul Haque Sohel said that like every year, this year too, the chamber has distributed hygiene protection materials to hotels and restaurants. The chamber is monitoring various hotels and restaurants for the sale of quality Iftar. 
 
“I hope that this time during Ramadan, traders will be able to sell healthy Iftar to the customers,” he said. 
 
Meanwhile, a large crowd of customers has been observed at Iftar shops on the first day of Ramadan across Rangpur city. 
 
According to the demand of the customers, the sellers have prepared various types of Iftar items. 
 
In addition to Bundia, Jilapi, Chhota, Piyaji, Beguni, Potato Chop, Egg Chop, Shahi Jilapi, Chikon Jilapi, various types of Kebab, Grill and other items, there has been a large demand. 
 
Talking to BSS, a number of bakery owners, hotel and restaurant owners said that there is a large crowd of customers on the first day of Ramadan. 
 
“We have prepared Iftar items in a healthy manner. I hope business will be good throughout Ramadan, said Mohua bakery owner at the city’s Kachari Bazar area Nurul Haque Munna.
