CHATTOGRAM, Feb 19, 2026 (BSS)- Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Mayor Dr. Shahadat Hossain has announced a strict stance against billboards and illegal advertisements to enhance the city's aesthetic natural beauty and aims to transform Chattogram into a well-planned, attractive, and clean metropolis.
 
Regular eviction drives will be conducted to eliminate unauthorized billboards, banners, and posters throughout the city, he told journalists here today. 

Dr. Shahadat said efforts are being made to remove billboards from Chattogram city to enhance its beauty, protect the environment, and ensure road safety. 

He warned that strict legal action will be taken against those who would set up billboards without permission. 

Pointing out recent eviction drive in city’s Kazir Dewari area the mayor said similar drives will be carried out in other parts of the city.
