Ctg BNP holds doa mahfil on first death anniv of Noman

CHATTOGRAM, Feb 28, 2026 (BSS) - BNP Chattogram City unit and its affiliated organizations today held a doa mahfil marking the first death anniversary of former minister freedom fighter Abdullah Al Noman.

Leaders and activists gathered at a mosque near the City BNP party office after Asr prayers to seek forgiveness for the departed soul and to recall his contributions to politics, society and the 1971 Liberation War.

Speakers at the event described Abdullah Al Noman as a dedicated and influential figure in Chattogram politics for many years. They said he played a significant role in the Liberation War and later continued serving the people through various development initiatives. Alongside his political responsibilities, he worked for local development, education and security, strengthening party organization and promoting social welfare.

They noted that his leadership qualities and personal integrity remain a source of inspiration for party leaders and activists. The doa mahfil concluded with special prayers for his eternal peace and for the continued well-being of the country and its people.

Among those present were City BNP Convener Alhaj Ershad Ullah MP, General Secretary Nazimur Rahman and leaders and activists from different tiers of the party.
