KHULNA, Mar 2, 2026 (BSS) – Khulna City Corporation (KCC) Administrator Nazrul Islam Manju here today asked ward officers to display their official visiting hours and mobile phone numbers on notice boards at their respective offices to facilitate communication for city dwellers

He emphasized the importance of ensuring citizens can easily access KCC services and contact responsible officials, noting that limited availability at ward offices often creates difficulties for the public.

Manju gave the order while presiding over a meeting with empowered officers of the city’s 31 wards at the Shaheed Altaf Auditorium at the Nagar Bhaban.

The administrator also instructed officers to monitor whether construction materials remain on roads after development work, ensure sufficient street lighting and timely operation, and expedite the removal of waste from sensitive points.

He called for stricter control on long-term vehicle parking on roads, regulation of mobile vegetable vendors’ operating hours, and awareness-building among vendors to clean up after business.

KCC Chief Executive Officer Rajib Ahmed, Secretary Ariful Islam, Chief Engineer Mashiuzzaman Khan, Chief Revenue Officer Rahima Sultana Bushra, Chief Waste Management Officer and Executive Magistrate Kohinur Jahan, Budget and Accounts Officer Md. Moniruzzaman, and other empowered ward officers, among others, were present.

Earlier, Manju inspected ongoing development projects across the city, including drainage, culvert, and school renovation work.

He also visited a fire-damaged house in South Mollapara in Ward-31, providing financial aid from his personal fund to the affected family.
