Journalist Ayub Ali passes away

CHATTOGRAM, March 3, 2026 (BSS) – Journalist Ayub Ali, a member of the Chattogram Press Club (CPC) and the Chattogram Union of Journalists (CUJ), died at Chattogram Medical College Hospital last night at the age of 58.

He is survived by his parents, wife, one son, two daughters, and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

His namaj-e-janaza was held on the premises of Imtiaj Mollah Jame Mosque after Asr prayers today. He was later buried at the family graveyard in Shovondondi village under Patiya upazila.

Zahidul Karim Kachi, President of CPC, along with Golam Maola Murad, General Secretary of CPC; Mohammad Shah Nowaz, President of CMUJ; Saleh Noman, General Secretary of CMUJ; and leaders of the Chattogram Reporters Forum (CRF), expressed deep sorrow at his death.

They conveyed their condolences to the bereaved family and prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
