RAJSHAHI, Mar 7, 2026 (BSS) - On the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan, Bidyanondo Foundation is regularly distributing iftar among underprivileged people.
As part of this initiative, iftar is being distributed daily to around 150 needy and underprivileged people at different locations in Rajshahi.
Proper seating arrangements are made in a clean environment during iftar time, while volunteers serve food to the beneficiaries.
The iftar menu includes chickpeas, puffed rice, dates, onion fritters, sherbet, payesh, eggs and various other food items.
Volunteers of the foundation said the initiative was taken to stand beside helpless and underprivileged people in society.
The iftar distribution programme will continue at different spots throughout the month of Ramadan.
They said that if affluent and compassionate members of society come forward, such humanitarian activities can be expanded further.
Many people feel shy to disclose their financial hardship and cannot ask for help during Ramadan. The foundation said it has stood beside such members of society once again.
Through its nationwide "Rojar Bazar" programme, the organisation plans to arrange iftar and sehri for nearly 300,000 underprivileged fasting individuals across the country.
In addition, special packages of essential food items are being distributed to 10,000 low-income families.
