
RANGPUR, March 7, 2026 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in two separate drives seized huge smuggled drugs and arrested five presumed drug dealers from different places of Dinajpur district in the last 24 hours ending at 9 am today.
The seized contraband drugs included 24 kgs of ganja and 299 bottles of phensedyl-like ESKuf syrup, a press release said here this afternoon.
On a tip off, a smart team of the RAB-13’s Crime Prevention Company (CPC)-1 from Dinajpur Camp in a raid seized 24 kg of ganja and arrested three persons from the Ranirbandar area under Chirirbandar police station of Dinajpur at 7:30 pm on Friday.
The arrestees are Tuton Sarkar, 30, son of late Layez Sarkar of village Baralajakata, Khokon Mia, 45, son of Khurshid Mia of village Kalipara and Jamal Uddin, 48, son of late Jalal Uddin of village Kalipur under Bhairab police station of Kishoreganj district.
In another raid, the RAB-13 team from Dinajpur Camp seized 299 bottles of phensedyl-like ESKuf syrup and arrested two persons from the Balandur area under Biral police station of Dinajpur district at 8.50 am on Saturday.
The arrested persons are Md Tariqul Islam, 27, son of late Chhaber Ali and Md Rony , 19, son of Rafiqul Islam, both are residents of village Balandur under Biral police station of Dinajpur district.
After filing two separate cases in these incidents, the elite force handed over the arrested persons and seized drugs to Chirirbandar police station and Biral police station of Dinajpur district respectively for further legal actions.
