PM opens Baishakhi agricultural fair in Tangail

TANGAIL, April 14, 2026 (BSS) - Prime Minister Tarique Rahman today inaugurated a Baishakhi agricultural fair at the Poura Udyan in Tangail town.

He opened the fair this afternoon after attending the Farmer Card distribution programme at Shaheed Maruf Stadium in the district. 

Prime Minister's Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Rumon said the premier reached the fair venue after concluding the Farmer Card distribution programme and visited different stalls. 

The Prime Minister also distributed goats to farmers at the fair.

Fisheries, Livestock and Agriculture Minister Mohammad Amin Ur Rashid, Prime Minister's Adviser on Industry Ruhul Kabir Rizvi and State Minister for Fisheries and Livestock Sultan Salahuddin Tuku were present, along with senior government officials.
