KISHOREGANJ, March 16, 2026 (BSS) – A farmer was killed in a road accident in the Achmita area of Katiadi upazila on the Kishoreganj-Bhairab regional road today.

The deceased was identified as Emon Mia, 26, son of Khalek Mia of the Charipara area of the upazila.

Police said the accident occurred when a truck fell into a roadside ditch while the driver was trying to save an auto-rickshaw, leaving Emon and his cow dead on the spot.

Katiadi Highway Police in-charge Khorshed Alam confirmed the incident and said the body was handed over to his family members.
