CUMILLA, March 16, 2026 (BSS) - Newly appointed Administrator of Cumilla City Corporation (CCC) Yusuf Molla Tipu today pledged that he would make the city corporation a corruption-free, transparent and people-friendly institution.

He came up with the comment while talking to the media people after taking the charge of his office today.

“My prime goal will be to make the Cumilla City Corporation a corruption-free . . . Transparency and accountability will be ensured at all levels of the administration so that the city residents can get proper services without any hindrance and harassment,” he told journalists.

Yusuf Molla Tipu formally took charge as the CCC administrator from the outgoing administrator Mohammad Shah Alam this morning. 
 
Among others, officers and employees of various departments of the city corporation were also present at the ceremony.

“I want to say clearly with responsibility . . . no form of corruption will be tolerated here. The officials and employees will have to work sincerely to reduce the suffering of the service seekers. A strict stand will be taken against corruption.” Tipu warned. 

He said effective initiatives will be taken to quickly resolve some of the long-standing problems of the city dwellers.

“In particular, priority will be given to reducing city’s traffic congestion, strengthening mosquito control activities and speeding up cleanliness activities,” Yusuf Molla Tipu added.

The new administrator also said that from tomorrow, he would directly go to the field visit and supervise the traffic congestion reduction and mosquito control activities.

He expressed his firm stance to fulfill the expectations of the inhabitants of Cumilla city and work in a coordinated manner.
