Hili land port operations to remain suspended for 10 days during Eid

DINAJPUR, March 16, 2026 (BSS) - All commercial activities, including import and export, will be closed at Hili Land Port in Dinajpur for 10 consecutive days on the occasion of the holy Shab-e-Qadr, Eid-ul-Fitr and Independence Day. 

According to the decision of the Hili Customs Clearing and Forwarding (C&F) Agents Association, all commercial activities will be closed through this port for 10 days from March 18 to March 27. 

Commercial activities will resume through this port from March 28, Hili Land Port Import Exporters Association, General Secretary Sakhawat Hossain Shilpi said in a press release today.

Although commercial activities are closed, the movement of passport-holding passengers between the two countries will remain normal. 

Md. Yusuf Ali, Plant Officer of the Customs Department of Hili Land Customs Station, said that arrangements have been made to keep the internal official activities of the customs on a limited scale during the holidays.
