KHULNA, March 17, 2026 (BSS) – On behalf of the Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), Eid gift items were distributed among surrendered robbers of Khulna and Bagerhat regions today, said a RAB-6 press release.

Since its inception in 2004, RAB has been playing a vital role in maintaining law and order by recovering illegal arms and ammunition, conducting anti-drug drives, suppressing piracy and terrorism, eliminating juvenile gangs, and arresting criminals involved in sabotage and sensational murders.

Alongside its operational activities, the force has also been carrying out humanitarian initiatives, including distribution of food, winter clothing, and providing medical assistance to underprivileged people.

As part of its continued humanitarian efforts, Eid gift items were distributed among the surrendered pirates -- now referred as “travelers on the path of light”-- in Khulna and Bagerhat regions.

Lieutenant Colonel Nistar Ahmed, Commanding Officer of RAB-6, handed over the gift items on behalf of the RAB Director General.

He urged the surrendered pirates to lead a normal life and assured them of all necessary legal support.

He also stated that such humanitarian initiatives would continue in the future.
