DHAKA, March 16, 2026 (BSS) - Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Police of Chattogram Range Md Ahsan Habib Palash has been appointed as the new Director General of the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

A gazette notification issued today said Md Ahsan Habib Palash replaces A K M Shahidur Rahman as the chief of RAB.

The notification said the order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.
