Taka 30 lakh from PM’s relief fund distributed in Munshiganj

MUNSHIGANJ, March 18, 2026 (BSS) - Ahead of the Eid-ul-Fitr celebration, a total of Taka 30 lakh has been distributed as humanitarian assistance from the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund among distressed and unemployed people across six upazilas in three parliamentary constituencies of the district.

According to the District Relief and Rehabilitation Office, under the Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund, in Munshiganj-1 (Sreenagar–Sirajdikhan) constituency, Taka 500,000 was distributed in Sreenagar Upazila and Tk 500,000 in Sirajdikhan Upazila. 

In Munshiganj-2 (Lohajang–Tongibari) constituency, Tk 435,000 was distributed in Lohajang and Tk 565,000 in Tongibari. 

In Munshiganj-3 (Sadar–Gazaria) constituency, Tk 600,000 was distributed in Sadar Upazila and Tk 400,000 in Gazaria. The respective members of parliament of these constituencies distributed the funds in their areas.

 Md. Masudur Rahman, Upazila Nirbahi Officer of Munshiganj Sadar said grant money was distributed as financial assistance among the distressed and unemployed people.
