Govt committed to performing duties with sincerity, integrity: Aminur

CUMILLA, March 18, 2026 (BSS) - Agriculture, Food, Fisheries and Livestock Minister Mohammed Aminur Rashid today said the government is committed to carrying out its duty with sincerity and honesty.

“As long as the Prime Minister keeps me in this charge, I will try to perform my duties with dedication, honesty, and integrity. For this, I seek everyone’s prayers,” he said while speaking as the chief guest at an iftar mahfil organized in honor of journalists at a party center in the Tomsom Bridge area in the district town.

Aminur said the government aims to build a Bangladesh that reflects the aspirations of the War of Independence and the recent July mass uprising.

He added that the government is sincerely working to ensure the country’s development and meet the expectations of the people.

Emphasizing the importance of cooperation from journalists, he said, “You should offer constructive criticism of our work and highlight our mistakes. We expect such criticism that will help move society and the country forward.

Mostak Mia, administrator of Cumilla Zila Parishad and joint organizing secretary of BNP (Cumilla division); Yusuf Molla Tipu, administrator of Cumilla City Corporation and general secretary of city BNP; Rajiur Rahman Rajib, organizing secretary of city BNP; Rezaul Kaiyum, president of Adarsha Sadar Upazila BNP; and Shafiul Alam Raihan, general secretary, also spoke.

Around 200 journalists working in print and electronic media in Cumilla attended the event.
