Two women held with huge drugs in Rangpur

RANGPUR, March 19, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in a drive seized huge illegal drugs and arrested two alleged female drug dealers from the Bakshi Bazar area under Pirgachha police station of Rangpur district on Wednesday.
 
The seized contraband drugs included three kg of ganja and 350 pieces of Yaba tablets, a press release said here tonight.
 
On a tip off, a smart team of the RAB-13’s Sadar Company from Rangpur in the raid seized the drugs and arrested the two women red-handed from the spot at 3:50 pm on Wednesday.
 
The arrestees are dealers Sabina Yasmin, 42, wife of Mosharraf of village Bantara under Kotwali police station of Dinajpur district and Marina Begum, 40, wife of late Rajab Ali of village Mirzapur under Sherpur police station of Bogura district. 
 
After filing a case in this incident, the elite force handed over the arrested women and seized drugs to Pirgachha police station of Rangpur for further legal actions, the release added.
