Narsingdi, March 19, 2026 (BSS)BNP Standing Committee Member and Member of Parliament from Narsingdi-2 (Palash), Dr. Abdul Moyeen Khan, said that BNP works for the welfare of the people and does not engage in politics merely for power.

He said, “Within just one month of the election, Prime Minister Tarique Rahman has fulfilled various promises made to you and has delivered Eid gifts to your doorstep.”

He made these remarks on Thursday while speaking as the chief guest at an Eid relief distribution program organized by the Upazila administration.

Dr. Moyeen Khan further said, “You went to the polling centers and voted for BNP with great effort. Now you are seeing the results, and you will continue to benefit in the future. We had initiated various development projects, including road infrastructure, 17 years ago. However, those works remained stalled during the past 17 years. We will restart those halted projects.”

He added, “To spread the joy of Eid among all, the current government is always working alongside the underprivileged and marginalized communities. The Bede community is a neglected part of our society. The government is implementing various initiatives to improve their living standards.”

He also said, “The main purpose of politics is to serve the people. As long as we can stand beside the people, our politics will remain meaningful. Especially during festivals like Eid, we must ensure that no one is left behind.”

On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, relief gifts from the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund were distributed among underprivileged families of the Bede community in Ghorashal Municipality under Palash Upazila of Narsingdi.

On the same day, financial assistance from the Prime Minister’s relief fund was also distributed in the Shimulertek housing project area of the cluster village.

Later, Eid gift items were handed over to the members of the Bede community. The beneficiaries expressed their joy and gratitude upon receiving the gifts.
