People from 91 villages in Ctg to celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow

CHATTOGRAM, March 19, 2026 (BSS) - Like last year, people of 91 villages in Chattogram district will celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr tomorrow, one day ahead of the rest of the country.  

All preparation have been completed to celebrate the religious festivity. 
 
Followers of  two renowned religious centres in Chattogram- Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif of Satkania and Shah Sufi Darbar Sharif of Chandanaish upazilas usually celebrate their Eid-ul-Fitr festival in line with Saudi Arabia and other Middle-East Muslim countries.

Several hundred disciples of the two religious centres in 91 villages under Patiya, Chandanaish, Satkania, Anowara, Banshkhali, Sitakunda, Lohagara, Boalkhali and Fatikchari upazilas in Chattogram  as well as  some other upazilas in Feni and Chandpur districts will celebrate Eid festival with due religious fervour and festivity.
 
A total of 107 Eid congregations will be held at 91 villages including two big ones at Mirzakhil Darbar Sharif in Satkania and Shah Sufi Darbar Sharif of Elahabad village in Chandanaish  at 7 am.

Besides, eight  large  congregations will be held in other upazilas of the district in the morning. 

Chattogram district police sources said they have taken all  necessary measures to celebrate the Eid
