Man killed after being run over by train in Nilphamari

NILPHAMARI, Mar 25, 2026 (BSS) - A 55-year-old man was killed after being run over by a train in Sadar upazila this morning.

The deceased was identified as Atiqul Islam Bhola, son of late Alauddin from Kishamat Charaikhola village under Charaikhola Union of the upazila.

According to local sources, Atiqul was walking along the railway tracks in the Shokher Bazar area when the Khulna-bound Rupsha Express train struck him. He died on the spot.

Saidpur Railway Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahmud Un Nabi confirmed the incident.
