2 fuel pumps fined Tk 33,000 in Khulna

KHULNA, March 30, 2026 (BSS) - The district administration in Khulna conducted multiple mobile court drives and monitoring activities on Sunday and fined  two pumps Tk 33,000.

The administration conducted the drive to ensure the normal supply of fuel and oversee the overall situation.

During the drives, several filling stations and oil pumps across Khulna metropolitan area and the district were inspected.

At Sultana Filling Station under Daulatpur Police Station, authorities examined fuel stock, preservation registers, and the quantity of fuel stored in tanks, and found discrepancies in sales and stock records.

In addition, mobile courts inspected various filling stations and oil pumps from Gallamari to Zero Point and Aranghata areas of Khulna city. At Akn Filling Station, evidence of under-measurement in fuel dispensing was detected.

As a result, Sultana Filling Station was fined Tk 3,000 and Akn Filling Station Tk 30,000, making a total fine of Tk 33,000 collected during the drive.
The authorities also issued necessary directives to ensure proper stock management, supply, and accurate distribution of fuel at the pumps.

The district administration stated that such drives will continue in the public interest.
