KHULNA, Mar 30, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-6 arrested an accused in a robbery case involving 37.75 bhori of gold ornaments during a drive in Bagerhat district.

According to RAB sources, a team from CPC Special Company of RAB-6 conducted a drive based on confidential information at a tea stall owned by one Alauddin Sheikh under Morrelganj Police Station on Sunday afternoon.

During the drive, they arrested accused Kibria Shikdar, 36, who was identified in the investigation of the case.

The incident took place on the night of September 24, 2025, around 2:45 am, at Balurchar area under Sirajdikhan Police Station in Munshiganj district. 

A gang of 10-12 armed robbers entered the house of one Shipon Sarker by cutting the window grills using hydraulic equipment.

The robbers tied up and assaulted Shipon Sarker and his family members at gunpoint and looted valuables, including 37.75 bhori of gold ornaments, Tk 250,000 in cash, one iPhone 15 Pro Max and one Samsung S20 mobile phone set, worth arroundTk 69.96 lakh.

Following the incident, ShiponSarker filed a case with Sirajdikhan Police Station.
The arrested accused was later handed over to the concerned police station for further legal action.
