Child safety campaign held in Bagerhat

BAGERHAT, April 20, 2026 (BSS) - An advocacy campaign on child safety, rights and welfare has been held in Mollahat upazila of the district.

Baptist Aid BBCF organised the programme at Dattadanga AC Academy Secondary School ground in Atjuri Union from 2 pm to 7 pm on Sunday.
 
Children and adolescents took part in the event and presented songs, dances and plays highlighting issues such as prevention of child marriage, drug abuse prevention and building a healthy society.

Speakers at a discussion meeting said joint efforts of families, educational institutions and society are needed to ensure child safety and create a safe environment.

Ayub Ali Mollah, president of the project safety committee of Baptist Aid BBCF, presided over the programme. 

Press Club Mollahat General Secretary MM Mofizur Rahman, Project Manager Richard Swapan Das, Monitoring Officer Swapan David Saha and Rights Supervisor Narendra Nath Pahan, among others, spoke at the event.
