GOPALGANJ, April 21, 2026 (BSS) - A mobile court today sealed three brick 
kilns and fined Taka 9 lakh for illegal operation here during a day-long 
drive.

The sealed kilns are Sheikh Bricks, Molla Bricks and Gazi Bricks.

Executive magistrate of Environment department's Monitoring and enforcement wing Md Sazzad Jahid Ratul headed the mobile court drive with inspector of 
Gopalganj Environment department Inspector Moniruzzaman Sheikh as the 
prosecutor 

Assistant director of district environment office Mahfuzur Rahman and 
personnel from law enforcement agencies were present at during the drive.

Confirming the operation, Mahfuzur Rahman said a mobile court was conducted in three kilns named Sheikh Bricks, Molla Bricks and Gazi Bricks located in the Sadar Upazila.

"Beside cutting off the electricity connection, the kilns were demolished to 
shut the operation. Alongside the three brick kilns were fined a total of 
Taka nine lakh," he said.
