KISHOREGANJ, May 25, 2026 (BSS) - Three members of a family, including a child, were killed in a road accident in Mithamain upazila here tonight.

The victims were travelling on a motorcycle when a rice-laden pickup van hit them at around 7:30 pm near the Kastal Bhatshala Bridge area on the Mithamain-Astagram All-Weather Road.

The deceased were identified as Monir Hossain, 35, son of Md. Safaj Uddin of the Mohishakandi area in the upazila, his wife Munni Akter, 30, and their six-year-old son Ayan.

Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Mithamain Police Station Liaquat Ali confirmed the incident.

The bodies were sent to the morgue of Kishoreganj Shaheed Syed Nazrul Islam Medical College Hospital, he said, adding that legal procedures related to the incident are underway.
