DHAKA, May 25, 2026 (BSS) – Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikobad) today visited different tents of Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims in Mina, Mecca.

The minister visited the tents to inquire about the condition of the Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims.

Under the personal initiative of the Religious Affairs Minister, 5,000 packets of high-quality food have also been distributed as gifts among Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrims in Mina.

The pilgrims have been requested to drink water regularly. They were also urged to avoid staying under the sun for long periods without protection and refrain from walking in direct sunlight during excessive heat.

The ministry said it has been carrying out extensive activities jointly with the Saudi government this year to raise awareness among Hajj pilgrims.

Following instructions from the Saudi authorities, pilgrims started travelling to Mina on Sunday. The pilgrims will stay in Mina tonight.

On Tuesday morning, they will leave for the plains of Arafat, where the most important ritual of Hajj will take place.
