Aush paddy incentive distribution begins in Natore

NATORE, April 27, 2026 (BSS)- Distribution of agricultural inputs, including seeds and chemical fertilizers, has officially commenced for 4,000 farmers in Singra upazila of the district under the Aush Incentive Program.

Upazila Nirbahi Officer Abdullah Al Rifat inaugurated the programme today at the Upazila Agriculture hall room.
Senior Upazila Fisheries Officer Md. Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Engineer Md. Khalilur Rahman, Upazila Project Implementation Officer Mithun Kundu and other officials were present. Singra Upazila Agriculture Officer Khandaker Farid Hasan was in the chair.

The speakers emphasized the government's commitment to boosting agriculture and supporting farmers. They highlighted several initiatives, such as waiver of agricultural loan interest, distribution of agricultural cards, and ongoing canal excavation projects aimed at improving crop production. 

Under the program each farmer will receive 5 kg of Aush paddy seeds and 10 kg of DAP and MOP fertilizers free of cost. These inputs are intended to support the cultivation of Aush paddy on one bigha land. 

This initiative is a part of the government’s ongoing efforts to enhance agricultural productivity and support farmers in the region.
