NARAIL, May 8, 2026 (BSS) - World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day-2026 was observed under the arrangement of Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Narail Unit today with a call to strengthen humanitarian services for disaster-prone people.

To mark the day, Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Narail Unit, organized a Rally this morning in the town and a discussion was held in the Zila parishad hall room. Bangladesh Red Crescent Society, Narail Unit Chairman and District Council Chairman heroic freedom fighter Mostafizur Rahman Alek presided over the discussion while District Unit Secretary Advocate Mahbub Morshed Japal spoke.

Former Chairman of Narail Sadar Upazila Parishad Md. Monirul Islam, BNP leader Tabibur Rahman Monu Jamaddar, Syed Taqiur Rahman, Red Crescent Society Narail Unit members Khandaker Kiamul Hasan Kiam, Arman Ali Khan, Madhumita Sultana, life member Md. Sultan Molla, Red Crescent society officials, members were present at the time.

They said the Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement has been playing a vital role in serving humanity across the world. They highly appreciated the role of Red Crescent volunteers during natural disasters and humanitarian crises.
