Four members of notorious 'B Company' gang arrested in Khulna

KHULNA, May 9, 2026 (BSS) - Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) have arrested four alleged members of the notorious criminal gang "B Company" during a late-night drive in the city.

Acting on a tip-off, RAB-6 conducted a raid in the Sonadanga Police Station area on Friday night and detained the four suspects, according to a press release. 

The arrestees were identified as Din Islam alias Dinu, 32, son of Imdadul Islam of Batiaghata, Hasib Hawlader, 26, son of Babu Hawlader of Khulna Sadar, Abid Hasan alias Abuzar, 29, son of Shahidul Islam of the same area, and Md Russell, 29, son of Abdul Jalil of Sonadanga area.

RAB said the gang members had long been involved in spreading drugs and carrying out criminal activities across the city through intimidation.

A review of police records revealed that Abid Hasan alias Abuzar has more than 10 cases filed against him with different police stations in Khulna metropolitan area on various charges including narcotics, theft and terrorism-related offences.

Police records also showed that Din Islam alias Dinu faces cases of abduction and extortion filed with Batiaghata Police Station.

Hasib Hawlader has cases lodged with Labanchara Police Station over allegations of intimidation with firearms, theft and assault, while Md Russell also has terrorism-related cases pending with several police stations in the city.

After the arrest, Dinu was handed over to Batiaghata Police Station, while Hasib Hawlader, Abid Hasan alias Abuzar and Md Russell were sent to Khulna Sadar Police Station for further legal action.
