3-day land service fair inaugurated in Manikganj

MANIKGANJ, May 19, 2026 (BSS) - The three-day Land Service Fair 2026 was inaugurated in Manikganj today with the theme "Citizen-friendly automated land management, secure land and prosperous future."

Marking the occasion, a colourful rally was brought out in the district town. The rally started from the Manikganj Collectorate premises and paraded through different roads of the town before concluding at the Manikganj Sadar Upazila Land Office. 

Government officials and people from all walks of life joined the procession.

Later, a discussion meeting was held on the premises of the Manikganj Sadar Upazila Land Office. Deputy Commissioner Nazmun Ara Sultana presided over the function.

The event was attended virtually by Prime Minister Tarique Rahman, alongside similar programmes held across the country.

Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Mohammad Ali, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Farjana Priyanka, Additional Superintendent of Police Mohoram Ali, Manikganj Sadar Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mousumi Nasrin, Assistant Commissioner (Land) Rikta Akter, NDC Boshira Sultana, Manikganj Press Club President Zahangir Alam Biswas and General Secretary Shahanur Islam, among others, were present.

Speakers at the discussion said that the initiative of the Ministry of Land would help citizens gain direct knowledge about various land services through the fair.
