Two held with 1,500 Tapentadol tablets in Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 7, 2026 (BSS) - Personnel of the Department of Narcotics Control (DNC) have arrested two men and seized 1,500 Tapentadol tablets and a motorcycle in Badarganj upazila of the district.
 
Acting on a tip-off, a smart team of Rangpur DNC conducted a raid in the Uttar Bauchandi Masterpara area of Badarganj Police Station, seized the contraband Tapentadol tablets and the motorcycle and arrested the two men at 6 pm on Saturday, said Rangpur DNC Deputy Director Md Abu Jafar. 
 
The arrestees were identified as Md Golam Mostafa, 35, of Telipara village and Bharat Chandra Adhikari, 30, of village Chhoto Hashimpur under Chirirbandar police station of Dinajpur district. 
 
Later, Rangpur DNC Inspector SK Eltasuddin filed a case against the arrested persons with Badarganj Police Station.
 
The two accused, along with the seized tablets and motorcycle, were handed over to Badarganj Police Station.
