
RAJSHAHI, June 8, 2026 (BSS) - A courtyard meeting was held at Bholabari Madhyapara under Nowhata Municipality in Paba Upazila of the district, focusing on various development plans of the present government.
Rajshahi District Information Office organized the meeting on Sunday afternoon. The meeting was held as part of the publicity campaign for the current government's priority programmes.
Md. Abdul Jalil, Director General of the Department of Mass Communication under the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, attended the event as the chief guest and delivered the keynote speech.
Speaking at the courtyard meeting, the chief guest said the present government is firmly committed to the welfare of the common people.
The Prime Minister is working tirelessly to implement the priority programmes in the election manifesto.
He said utmost importance is being given to ensuring that the benefits of programmes such as the Family Card, Farmer's Card and agricultural loan waiver, tree plantation, canal excavation, and vehicles for women reach marginalized communities.
He said that over the next four years, 40 million families across the country will be provided Family Cards in phases.
In the first year, 5 million families will receive the benefits of the Family Card.
According to the current government's election manifesto, all farmers will be brought under the 'Farmer's Card', through which farmers will be able to easily access various government agricultural incentives, subsidies and other benefits.
The chief guest emphasized providing proper information for timely and accurate registration to avail all government facilities.
The event was presided over by Nafeyala Nasrin, Director of the District Information Office.
Special guests present were K M Khalid Bin Zaman, Deputy Director of the Department of Mass Communication and Md. Mizanur Rahman, a distinguished social worker of Nowhata Municipality.
Assistant Information Officer Humaira Sultana conducted the programme.
