MAGURA, June 20, 2026 (BSS) - A fogger machine was distributed to the Magura District Jail to ensure the health safety of inmates and protect them from mosquito-borne diseases.

The fogger machine was officially handed over to the Jail Superintendent of the district jail on behalf of Md. Monowar Hossain, Member of Parliament for the Magura-1 constituency, at a function held today at 12:00 PM.

Superintendent of District Police Molla Azad, Additional Deputy Commissioner Abdul Kader, and Civil Surgeon Dr. Md. Shamim Kabir were present as special guests at the event. Local political figures and officials from the concerned departments were also present.

The authorities concerned stated that mosquito repellent would be sprayed regularly on the jail premises using the fogger machine. As a result, mosquito breeding will be reduced significantly, lowering the risk of dengue, chikungunya, and other mosquito-borne diseases.

It was expressed that this initiative would ensure the health safety of the inmates and make the overall environment of the jail more hygienic.
