RANGPUR, June 25, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB)-13 in separate raids seized 196 grams of heroin and 193 bottles of phensedyl-like drug Eskuf syrup and arrested two alleged drug peddlers from Rangpur and Thakurgaon on Wednesday.

On a tip-off, a team of RAB-13, from Rangpur in a raid seized 196 grams of heroin and arrested one person from Mandlabari village under Pirganj police station of Rangpur district at 5 am on Wednesday, a press release said this noon.

The arrestee is Md Sumon Sheikh, 30, son of late Ali Sheikh of Dangapara village under Hakimpur police station of Dinajpur district. 

In another raid, a team of RAB-13 from Dinajpur Camp seized 193 bottles of heroin and arrested a man from village Madhya Daulatpur under Pirganj police station of Thakurgaon district at 6.50 pm on Wednesday.

The detainee is Md Monir Hossain Mainuddin, 44, son of Abdul Karim of the same village in Thakurgaon Abdu district.

After filing two separate cases in these incidents, the elite force handed over the arrested persons and seized evidence to the concerned police stations for further action, the release added.
