RAJSHAHI, June 29, 2026 (BSS)- In an operation conducted in the Kesharhat Bazar area of Mohanpur Upazila, Rajshahi, RAB-5  has arrested a drug dealer with 387 Yaba tablets and counterfeit notes worth 93,000 Taka.
 
According to RAB-5 sources, at around 7:30 PM on June 28, based on a tip-off, an intelligence team of RAB-5, CPC, learned that Yaba and counterfeit notes  were being stockpiled on the second floor of the Kesharhat Bazar Samabay School Market in Haridagachhi Mouza, under Mohanpur Police Station. 

Later, a RAB operational team conducted a raid there.
 
During the operation, Nayeb Ali, 43, a resident of Mohanpur Upazila, was arrested from the office of Lal Golap Samabay Samiti Limited belonging to one Shahidullah. At that time, his accomplice Shahidullah Raju, 55, managed to escape by using a trick.
 
RAB stated that 387 Yaba tablets and counterfeit notes worth Taka 93,000 were seized from the possession of the arrested Nayeb Ali in the presence of neutral witnesses.
 
RAB claims that the arrested Nayeb Ali is a known drug dealer in the area. He had long been collecting Yaba and counterfeit notes from various border areas and selling them to retail and wholesale drug traders in Rajshahi district.
 
A regular case has been filed against the arrested Nayeb Ali at Mohanpur Police Station in this connection. Efforts are underway to arrest the absconding accused.
