RpMP bans public gatherings around HSC exam centers in Rangpur

RANGPUR, June 30, 2026 (BSS) - Rangpur Metropolitan Police (RpMP) has banned 
public gatherings, processions, meetings and illegal intrusion around 18 
examination centers in Rangpur metropolis marking the 2026 HSC and equivalent 
examinations. 
 
This instruction was issued in a public notice signed by RpMP Additional 
Commissioner of Police (Administration and Finance) Naresh Chandra Sarkar on 
Tuesday. 
 
The notice said that as per the routine published by the Secondary and Higher 
Secondary Education Board, Dinajpur, the HSC, Alim, HSC (Business Management) 
and HSC (Vocational) examinations will be held at 18 designated centers in 
Rangpur city from July 2 to August 8. 
 
In order to conduct the examination in a fair, peaceful and cheating-free 
environment, all types of public gatherings, processions, meetings and 
illegal intrusions have been banned within 200 yards of the examination 
centers from 9 am every day until the end of the examination on the relevant 
dates. 
 
The notice further states that all concerned have been called upon to follow 
the instructions to maintain a peaceful environment at the examination 
centers and ensure the smooth participation of the examinees in the 
examination. 
 
It has also been mentioned that appropriate legal action will be taken 
against those who disobey the instructions. 
 
The centers where the examinations will be held in Rangpur city include 
Government Begum Rokeya College, Rangpur Government College, Mahiganj Degree 
College, Samaj Kalyan Bidyabithi Girls' School and College, Cantonment Public 
School and College, Collectorate School and College, Police Lines School and 
College, Carmichael College, Lions School and College, RCCI Public School and 
College, Border Guard Public School and College, Rangpur Cadet College, 
Haragachh Model College, Sheikh Russell Cantonment Public School and College, 
Boro Rangpur Kamil Madrasah, Rangpur Technical School and College, Lalkuthi 
Girls' School and College and Radhakrishnapur Girls' School and College.
