BGB provides relief to 100 flood-hit families in Bandarban

BANDARBAN, July 13, 2026 (BSS) - Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has provided relief assistance to 100 flood-affected poor and vulnerable families in Khansama Para and BGB Para areas of Bandarban following sudden floods caused by heavy rainfall.

Sector Commander Colonel Mohammad Rubayat Jamil handed over essential food items and relief materials to the affected families, said a BGB release today.

Additional Director of Bandarban BGB Sector Md Selim Rana and Subedar Hafizur Rahman were present on the occasion.

The relief packages included rice, lentils, edible oil and potatoes.
BGB said the force, besides protecting the country’s borders, has been working for the safety of local people and tourists in remote hilly areas and extending humanitarian support during the disasters. 

Over the last two days, BGB provided cooked food to 122 flood-affected families, the release added.
