KHULNA, July 13, 2026 (BSS) - A preparatory meeting for the celebration of Nazrul Year 2026–27 was held at the conference room of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office here today.
Additional Deputy Commissioner (Education and ICT) Kaniz Fatema Liza presided over the meeting.
Participants reviewed the draft monthly theme-based calendar of activities sent by the Ministry of Cultural Affairs, featuring the songs, poems, dramas, novels, essays and other literary works of National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam to mark the year-long celebration.
Among others, Additional District Magistrate Nurul Hai Mohammad Anas, District Primary Education Officer Sheikh Ahidul Alam, District Education Officer S.M Chayedur Rahman, senior journalist Sheikh Didarul Alam and General Secretary of Nazrul Academy Masud Mahmud addressed the meeting.
Officials from various government departments, Nazrul researchers and representatives of social and cultural organisations also attended the meeting.
