Tree plantation inaugurates in Rajshahi Govt Primary Schools

RAJSHAHI, July 15, 2026 (BSS)- Today, during the Primary Education Award-2026 ceremony, the Prime Minister inaugurated the nationwide tree plantation 
programme in all government primary schools.
 
The inauguration ceremony by the Prime Minister at the Dhaka-China Friendship Conference Center was broadcast live on a big screen at Nawdapara Government 
Primary School in Rajshahi city.
 
The event, organised by the Rajshahi District Administration and the Department of Primary Education, was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kazi 
Shahidul Islam, Superintendent of Police Mohammad Naimul Hasan and Additional Deputy Commissioner Tuktuk Talukdar.
 
Director of the District Information Office Nafeala Nasreen, District Primary Education Officer AKM Anwar Hossain also present, along with officials and 
employees of various departments, parents, teachers and students.
 
Comparing trees to mothers at the event, the Deputy Commissioner said, just as trees give throughout their entire life, mothers also make relentless 
sacrifices for the upbringing and education of their children. 
 
"Mothers have to play the role of the main craftsman in building an educated and developed nation," he said, adding that there is no alternative to 
educated and aware mothers in building an educated nation.
 
For mothers, being educated is not just about textbook knowledge, but understanding what is best for their children is the greater education.
 
At this time, he also warned mothers about the technological challenges facing children today, especially mobile addiction and misuse of screen time.
 
Earlier, the Deputy Commissioner and the Superintendent of Police each planted a mango sapling on the premises of Nawdapara Government Primary 
School.
