DHAKA, July 15, 2026 (BSS) - BNP today announced the 151-member full executive committee of its Cumilla city unit.

Udbatul Bari Abu has been made the President and Md. Yusuf Molla Tipuwas made the General Secretary of the committee. 

The party also formed a nine-member advisory council.

The full committee was announced in a press release signed by BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Advocate Ruhul Kabir Rizvi today.

The advisory council comprises Begum Rabeya Chowdhury, Fazlul Haque Fazlu, Farid Uddin Ahammed, Bir Muktijoddha Nurul Islam, Advocate Abdul Kader Jilani, S. A. Bari Selim, Farhad Akhtar Md. Shahriar, Dr. Mosleh Uddin Ahmed and Professor Dr. Nilufa Parveen.

Nazrul Islam VP has been appointed Senior Vice-President of the committee. 

Khalilur Rahman Biplob has been made Senior Joint Secretary, while Ahammed Shoaib Sohel has been named Treasurer. Abdullah Al Mamun VP has been appointed Publicity Secretary.

The committee also includes 15 Vice-Presidents, 10 Joint Secretaries, six Organising Secretaries and office-bearers responsible for various sectors, including office administration, law, women, youth, students, labour, volunteers, training, information and research, expatriate welfare, religion, human rights, health, environment, relief and rehabilitation, sports and culture, local government, industry and commerce and weavers, fishermen and ethnic affairs.

The BNP also announced assistant secretaries for different departments and named the remaining members of the 151-member executive committee.

The party said the full committee and advisory council were constituted as part of its organisational activities for the Cumilla City unit.
