RANGPUR, July 16, 2026 (BSS) - Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) seized 296 bottles of phensedyl-like ESKuf syrup and arrested an alleged drug dealer from the Taluk Haridas area under Aditmari police station in Lalmonirhat today.
 
The arrestee is Md Alamgir Islam, 45, son of Md Azizul Haque of the same village, a press release said here tonight.
 
Based on specific intelligence information, a team of RAB-13 from Rangpur conducted a raid in a house of the area, seized 296 bottles of contraband ESkuf syrup and arrested the man from the spot at 4:30 am. 
 
After filing a case in this incident, the elite force handed over the arrested person and seized drugs to Aditmari police station for further legal action.
