
RAJSHAHI, Sept 6, 2026 (BSS) - The monthly welfare meeting of Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) was held at the Drill Shed of the Police Lines today.
RMP Commissioner Mohammad Foyezul Kabir presided over the meeting.
Various applications submitted by police personnel, their personal and professional problems, and other welfare-related issues were discussed at the meeting.
The police commissioner listened to the concerns raised by the members and reviewed the issues with due importance. He instructed the concerned officers to take necessary steps for the quick and effective resolution of legitimate problems.
Speaking at the meeting, the commissioner said that, alongside professional responsibilities, ensuring the welfare and well-being of police personnel was equally important.
He stressed the need to ensure nutritious food to maintain the health, efficiency and morale of police members and directed the authorities concerned to take necessary measures in this regard.
He also instructed the concerned authorities to provide necessary sports equipment to every police station and unit, considering the physical and mental well-being of police personnel.
The commissioner said that ensuring the welfare of police members, boosting their morale and improving their working environment were essential to building an efficient, humane and people-friendly police force.
He added that Rajshahi Metropolitan Police remained committed to ensuring the welfare of its members.
At the end of the meeting, the commissioner honoured a police inspector, three constables and an MLSS with crests as part of a retirement felicitation programme.
He expressed gratitude and extended his best wishes to the retired police and non-police personnel for their long and dedicated service.
