DHAKA, Jan 7, 2025 (BSS) - Legspinner Rishad Hossain and Pakistan pacer Jahandad Khan claimed three wickets apiece as Fortune Barishal wrapped up Sylhet Striker for just 125 in their fourth match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium today.

Rishad, playing his first match in this season, conceded just 15 runs in four overs to stifle Sylhet after they were put into bat first.

Rishad gave away only two runs in his first three overs before Sylhet skipper Ariful Haque who made team-high 36, took 13 runs with a six and four in his final over.

Jahandad, meanwhile, conceded 18 runs in three overs and snapped up the prized scalp of George Munsey who gave a glimpse of his power-hitting ability. Before being dismissed by Jahandad, Munsey blasted 13 ball-28 with one four and three sixes. Munsey's dismissal indeed sparked a collapse as Sylhet lost last seven wickets for 49 runs.

Jahandad also took the wicket of Aaron Jones for duck and Jaker Ali for one.

Faheem Ashraf grabbed two wickets including Ariful to wrap up Sylhet innings.

Sylhet lost their previous two matches and a defeat in this match will make it three in a row. Barishal won two out of the previous three matches.
