RAJBARI, Sept 10, 2025 (BSS)-The Festival of Youth 2025 "Shaheed Mir Mahfuzur 
Rahman (Mugdho) zone "National Football Championship" was inaugurated at 
Rajbari District Stadium here today (Wednesday).

Rajbari Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Sultana Akter was present as the 
chief guest in the opening ceremony.

Rajbari Police Superintendent Md Kamrul Islam, District Civil Surgeon Dr S M 
Masud and Upazila Executive Officer of Sadar Upazila Samia Haque, among 
others, were present as special guests on the occasion. 

Rajbari District Football Association president principal Manjurul Alam Dulal 
presided over the opening ceremony.

The speakers said that sports are not just a means of entertainment, but also 
play an important role in the development of the health of the youth. 

Football in particular is the most popular sport in Bangladesh. Such a 
national championship will increase the interest in sports among the youth 
and it will provide health to the youth society by making it drug-free and 
preventing bad culture.

The organizers said that five teams from Rajbari, Shariatpur, Madaripur, 
Munshiganj and Dhaka are participating in this tournament. The tournament 
will continue throughout the month of September. The final of the competition 
will be held on September 30.
