Dhaka out to avoid fifth straight defeat in BPL

DHAKA, Jan 9, 2024 (BSS) - Chittagong Kings won the toss and sent struggling Dhaka Capitals to bat first in a Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) match today at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

Chittagong so far played two matches, winning one and losing one. They though started with a massive 105-run win over Durbar Rajshahi, while experienced a 37-run defeat to Khulna Tigers in the next game.

Dhaka Capitals, owned by Bangladesh film hero Shakib Khan, lost all of the past four matches.

To avoid their fifth straight defeat, they would have to beat the history also.  History suggested in winter season, toss on the most of the occasion, decided the fate of the game in this venue.

Generally the team which bowl first won the game in this season due to dew factor. So far the venue in this season saw the bowling first team won all matches.
