Women's Cricket tournament begins tomorrow

DHAKA, Feb 12, 2025 (BSS)- On the occasion of Festival of Youth 2025, Women's 
Cricket tournament will begin on Thursday at Dhanmondi Sultana Kamal Women's 
Sports Complex in the capital.

Former national women's team cricketer Panna Ghosh and Sathira Jakir Jessi, 
umpire and former national cricketer, will formally inaugurate the two-day 
meet, said a press release here today.

Youth and Sports Secretary Rezaul Maksud Jahedi is expected to present in the 
closing ceremony on Friday (Feb 14) as the chief guest and distribute the 
prizes.

National Sports Council Secretary Md Aminul Islam, NDC, and Md Nazmul Abedin 
Fahim, chairman of cricket operation and women's wing and director of 
Bangladesh Cricket Board, will present as special guests on the ocassion.

A total of 60 players of four teams will take part in the event, organised by 
Bangladesh Women's Sports Association.
